Mulund Bunts Hosts 20th Annual Educational Scholarship Project 2025
– Fueling Education, Fulfilling Dreams
On 6th July 2025, the Mulund Bunts proudly organized their flagship 20th Annual Educational Scholarship Project, themed “???? ????? – Fueling Education, Fulfilling Dreams”. The event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of beneficiaries, dignitaries, and community members, united in the cause of promoting education and empowerment.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, accompanied by a soulful prayer song rendered by Vinoda Chowta, creating a spiritually uplifting start to the meaningful event.
Chairman of the Education Aid Program, Manohar Shetty, then took the stage to welcome all dignitaries and guests. He briefed the audience about the vision and purpose of the education aid initiative, highlighting the Mulund Bunts' steadfast commitment to supporting students from underprivileged backgrounds in their academic pursuits.
The introduction of the chief guests and dignitaries was carried out by Vice President Krishna Prasad Shetty and Secretary Venugopal Shetty, who warmly welcomed them and underscored the importance of the occasion. The program was smoothly anchored by Shreelata Shetty, who served as the Master of Ceremonies.
The event was presided over by President C.A. Karunakar Shetty, with Dr. Amberish Shetty as the Guest of Honour and Dr. R.K. Shetty as the Chief Guest. Both guests delivered inspirational speeches, encouraging the students to dream big, nurture a positive attitude, and maintain clarity and focus on their goals.
Both the dignitaries and President C.A. Karunakar Shetty placed strong emphasis on the value of giving back to society. They urged the scholarship recipients to carry forward the legacy of kindness and support by helping others in need once they are financially independent, thus building a self-sustaining cycle of community upliftment.
One of the proudest moments of the day was the felicitation of outstanding teachers from Mulund belonging to the Bunt community. All the awardees were women, marking a strong and symbolic gesture of female empowerment and educational leadership.
This year, a total of 83 financially needy students and 3 specially-abled children were awarded scholarships. The list of beneficiaries was formally announced by Mahila Vibhag Chairperson Aarti Shetty, who highlighted their merit and the importance of continued support for their educational journey.
Youth Wing Chairperson Sharadhi Shetty shared a passionate presentation on the Youth Wing’s upcoming projects, including a uniform donation drive for students at VPM Kannada Medium School, exemplifying the involvement of the younger generation in social causes.
Further, Mulund Bunts also extended financial support to Aadishakti School and VPM School, reinforcing their dedication to the growth of local educational institutions.
In his closing remarks, President C.A. Karunakar Shetty expressed heartfelt gratitude to all past presidents of Mulund Bunts, along with the generous donors who helped make the initiative possible. He personally acknowledged and appreciated their continuous support and commitment to community welfare.
The event concluded on a graceful note with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Shashikanti Shetty, marking the end of a truly impactful and heartwarming program dedicated to education, empowerment, and service.
